Admins are great when it comes to appreciation

Recently, I spent two days with some of the most appreciative people in the world: administrative professionals. These women and men know the value of expressing appreciation to their coworkers. They are real movers and shakers in the organization.

Admins, a familiar title abbreviation, wield a lot of influence. They are often the second most powerful person in the organization when it comes to getting things done. How do they do it? The most successful admin’s make sure the people they interact with feel valued and appreciated.

Random acts of gratitude work wonders!

Several administrative professionals agree that sharing innovative random acts of gratitude can improve morale and increase the level of cooperation among their colleagues. As one admin put it, “When an employee feels valued—feels like their efforts are appreciated—they don’t mind working late to get a project out the door or going the extra mile.”
